Dandi Beach

The beauty that permeates the seashore mesmerizes everyone who views it. It's incredibly tranquil to watch the surf. The color of the sky evolved throughout time while the clouds changes their appearance. Watching aquatic birds in flight makes one feel as though they are a bit of heaven on earth. An epitome of such a lovely beach is Dandi beach.

It is one of the cleanest beaches in India. You can spot seagulls and other aquatic birds. It is an ecologically sensitive region. The nearest airport to this beach is Surat, and the nearest railway is Navsari. 

Dandi beach has a lot of significance in Indian history for the freedom of India. The famous Dandi march was the place where Mahatma Gandhi broke the salt tax law under the rule of the Britishers. 

Isn't it interesting to consider how many locations have been famous because of historical events? A few might not be known to us because there is no proper source of records or documentation available. In a few places despite the existence of written documents, the location may have lost part of its popularity due to other factors that have outweighed its significance.

What about the exact place you are reading this blog? What might have happened here around 100 years back? maybe some nomad trying to build a home here or what if ? There are a lot of possibilities for a thing to have happened at the very spot you are present. It is how drastically the impact of the incident has led to cause some changes which have or will affect the future that makes a place more important.

Art defines a lot about what we were back then, how far we have progressed and how much we have deviated from our heritage. Being born in a Kutchi family I was introduced to the art of mud painting, also known as lippan kaam or chitter kaam. Mud painting is supposed to be one of the traditional forms of art in which an artist conveys his ideas through vivid shapes and designs which he creates by using mud or clay. Originality of lippan kaam lies in adding colourless or white and small round-shaped, triangle-shaped or diamond-shaped mirror pieces being added to the work. What's on your bucket list..??  If you like to travel then you would surely have a lot of places to visit in your bucket list. And there is a high level of chance that you would have seen bali in your instagram explore atleast once in week.  One temple in particular which I want to visit is tanah lot temple.
