happiness

Happiness, is merely a state of mind; you decide what makes you happy and what doesn't make you happy. It's basically up to you.
Happiness can even be found in small things like giving chocolate to a small kid or maybe by giving a set of bangles purchased from a street hawker. The child would be happy on the fact that someone got me something, moreover as someone gifted me something.
It's not necessary to have money to make you happy and it's even necessary to have money to make you happy. A street vendor, if given a 2000 rupee note would be happy as he would be stress-free from work. But giving the same amount of money to a rich kid might not make him filled with the same level of happiness, and might even return it back to you.
It's not necessary to live in a penthouse with all the lavish facilities like a personal swimming pool or library with french windows that will make you happy, even living in a small house can make you happy. One can also be sad living in a lavish house.
Happiness comes from within you. It's you who decides what makes you happy. You can not change the situation but you can surely adapt and adjust to it, and find yourself happiness.
You need to analyse your current situation and decide what makes you happy. For an instance, you only have enough money to buy yourself a sandwich but you want to eat a fancy buffet breakfast. In such a situation u need to find happiness in a sandwich but that doesn't mean that you stop working hard and be satisfied with what you have. You need to work hard on yourself to even experience the happiness received while eating a buffet. Happiness is not the same for everyone even if two people are dealing with similar situations.
For some kids, both of their parents are working, and they don't get to spend enough time with them. This, for some children would be an unhappy event, because they don't get to spend quality time with their family. Whereas, in some situations, if the children and the parents don't get along well, this would be a better event, as they don't spend much time together.
One should consider the timing of events in making oneself delighted. The way you react to different situations also plays a very important role in the amount of happiness your feel, and the people in your surrounding receive.
Happiness is also related to your satisfaction, like solving sudoku which you were trying to solve for the past 15mins.
Finding satisfaction in things shouldn't be an explanation in stop making advancement, once you complete solving a sudoku puzzle of level 1 shouldn't imply that you should be stuck in that specific puzzle of that specific level and you resolve it over and over again. You need to move on to the higher level of the puzzle and try solving that...
After all, Badhti ka Naam Zindagi!
