THE REEL AND REAL

Image
Have you ever experienced a strange discomfort while scrolling through perfectly curated images of rooms, bodies, and lifestyles on Instagram? It often feels like the reality in front of you—the world you live in—and the world on your digital device are two opposite poles of a magnet. Your messy room, unfiltered skin, and chaotic surroundings don’t align with the flawless reality presented online. For a moment, you might wonder: Why does this social media reality feel so different from my own? It happens to all of us, or maybe would have happened at at least one instant of time . We are bombarded with images of pristine curtains hanging with such symmetry that even the slightest wrinkle could send someone into a panic. Rooms look like they came straight from a Pinterest board, and meals are so perfectly plated they seem unreal. It’s as if the physical world is being replaced by a hyper-stylized version, where imperfections and messiness are forbidden, and everything revolves aroun...

A BLOCK BLOG

Image
Does it ever happen to you that you want to do tooo many things at a same time.. you have definitely set your priorities but the thing you deeply want to do doesn't actually set into the priority list and when you try doing it after a real long time you just feel BLOCKED Somewhat like a LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN situation. Doing a particular thing that is peaceful for you but its too hard to do it right, or get it right the way it used to be.  It is frustrating to not be able to do it, feeling weirdly incomplete without and with words, its such a irony itself to be out of proper words while actually typing it all out.  I wanted to write so many blogs but I just feel blocked at times, and the many incomplete DRAFTS just makes its more dis- satisfying.  This blog is a combination of a few incomplete thoughts.  -- Living away from home, getting freedom, doing things you ever did, no bonds no restrictions just a bit of budget to manage and that is it. It does sound amazing. A...

Dandi Beach

Image
The beauty that permeates the seashore mesmerizes everyone who views it. It's incredibly tranquil to watch the surf. The color of the sky evolved throughout time while the clouds changes their appearance. Watching aquatic birds in flight makes one feel as though they are a bit of heaven on earth. An epitome of such a lovely beach is Dandi beach. It is one of the cleanest beaches in India. You can spot seagulls and other aquatic birds. It is an ecologically sensitive region. The nearest airport to this beach is Surat, and the nearest railway is Navsari.  Dandi beach has a lot of significance in Indian history for the freedom of India. The famous Dandi march was the place where Mahatma Gandhi broke the salt tax law under the rule of the Britishers.  Isn't it interesting to consider how many locations have been famous because of historical events? A few might not be known to us because there is no proper source of records or documentation available. In a few places despite the ex...

Friendship

Image
friendship is the state of being friends (according to dictionary meaning) Friendship isn't about who knows more about you or cares more about you; It is moreover about who matches your vibes and who makes you feel at home, whether you are in some hostel surrounded by jungles. A home is where family and friends are. Friendship isn't about seeing each other every day or talking all the time; it's more about the feeling that nothing has changed even if you guys aren't just in close contact with one another. The length of time you have known someone or the amount of lengthy discussion you share doesn't define the depth of your friendship. This depth is interpreted by how close you are to each other and how much you understand about each other just by facial expression or some infer in body language. Friendship is more than just sharing your tiffin or catching hold of someone when one is falling; It is also about asking for treats and making the other fall just for a hi...

Tanah lot

What's on your bucket list..??  If you like to travel then you would surely have a lot of places to visit in your bucket list. And there is a high level of chance that you would have seen bali in your instagram explore atleast once in week.  One temple in particular which I want to visit is tanah lot temple. It is one of the most blissful places to visit. It is a set of 3 temples.  Tanah means land and lot mean sea, the name itself sketches a small piece of land surrounded by sea. The temple is sometimes inaccessible due to high tide.  It is well known for its stunning sunset and cold breeze. interestingly, a holy monk, Dang Hyang Nirartha journeyed to spread the teachings of Hinduism he established this site with the help of a local fisherman in honour of the sea lord, Varuna. (Varuna is also known as the god of oceans) It is believed that this temple is safeguarded from evil spirits by venomous snakes. The priest there blesses the visitors by sprinkling holy water ...

happiness

Image
Happiness, is merely a state of mind; you decide what makes you happy and what doesn't make you happy. It's basically up to you. Happiness can even be found in small things like giving chocolate to a small kid or maybe by giving a set of bangles purchased from a street hawker. The child would be happy on the fact that someone got me something, moreover as someone gifted me something. It's not necessary to have money to make you happy and it's even necessary to have money to make you happy. A street vendor, if given a 2000 rupee note would be happy as he would be stress-free from work. But giving the same amount of money to a rich kid might not make him filled with the same level of happiness, and might even return it back to you.  It's not necessary to live in a penthouse with all the lavish facilities like a personal swimming pool or library with french windows that will make you happy, even living in a small house can make you happy. One can also be sad living i...

Elephants are one of the most unique looking animals with their large trunks and floppy ears. I find them cute ( have you ever seen a baby elephant ?). I don't know when exactly they started being one of my favourite animals but there is this thing about elephants that gives me serenity. I just love how huge they are.  One place stop which made me the happiest was visiting the elephant orphanage. The orphanage I had visited was the Pinnawala elephant orphanage, Sri Lanka. There were innumerable elephants there and it still fascinates me how the staff remembered each elephants name. There I was lucky enough to witness elephants playing and taking baths in the Pinnawala river. Pinnawala river is a walk of few minutes from the orphanage.  The best part of learning is that it's never-ending. Every place you go, everyone, you meet teaches you something or the other in a very unknowingly way or in a very direct way. Here on my visit to this orphanage, I learned about pap...
